Charter, the only cable operator in my area, didn’t broadcast the super bowl in high def this year in my area (something to do with a licensing agreement with the local networks) so im kinda pissed off eh!
Oh well, now i got a nice big TV that looks good in the living room… i might go buy a ps3 JUST to unleash the 1080p beast within.
Heres a post, nothing more, nothing less, ENJOY!
The ongoing writers strike may be sparking a Family feud.
The overlords at Fox have announced plans to air an original Family Guy episode this Sunday and move forward on three more without the participation of mastermind Seth MacFarlane, who not only serves as show runner but supplies many of the key voices.
The move has angered MacFarlane, who stopped work on the series last week to join the picket lines with other WGA members. Film and TV writers whose union went on strike Nov. 5 to force Hollywood studios to negotiate a bigger cut of the profits from DVD sales and other future digital media platforms.
“It would just be a colossal dick move if they did that,” Family Guy’s creator told Variety, noting that the next three episodes of the animated comedy are “relatively close to completion, but they have not had a final pass.”
MacFarlane acknowledged that both the network and producer 20th Century Fox TV are “legally within their rights” to finish new episodes without his input, but doing so, he said, could not only affect the show’s creative direction and thus alienate viewers but also harm the successful partnership MacFarlane and Fox have built up over the years.
“They’ve never done anything like this before, in which they’ve said, ‘We’re going to finish a show without you,’ ” he said. “It’s really going to be unfortunate and damaging to our relationship if they do it.”
Fox declined to comment. It was known before the strike that only one episode had been completed before MacFarlane walked out, and Fox had the difficult choice of going into reruns during November sweeps or finishing the incomplete shows. The first of those was sent to the network yesterday to be vetted for this weekend.
Still, MacFarlane—who also said he won’t voice Family patriarch Peter Griffin, Brian the dog, and evil baby genius Stewie until the strike is over—implored Fox to scuttle the idea.
Given that he’s been in talks with the network for a new long-term contract for the past year, MacFarlane does have a little bit of leverage.
“I’m technically in breach of nothing,” he added.
Fox has a tough balancing act producing the show and keeping MacFarlane happy. Aside from solid ratings, Family Guy was one of the first TV series to do blockbuster business on DVD, becoming the top-selling TV DVD of the year for 2003. That success led Fox to revive the series after canceling it. On Nov. 4, Family Guy celebrated its 100th episode.
While MacFarlane addressed a group of picketers in front of the Fox lot, hundreds of film and TV actors showed up on the picket lines outside Universal Studios Tuesday to lend their support to the WGA action.
“There isn’t an actor I talk to who hasn’t felt what the writers are going through,” said CSI star William Petersen, who was there with costars Marg Helgenberger, Wallace Langham and other show folks.
The Screen Actors Guild has quite a bit at stake in how the current work stoppage shakes out. The acting union’s contract is due to expire in June (as is the Directors Guild’s), and they want the same thing as writers—a larger share from the burgeoning new-media market.
“Everyone knows the Internet is the future,” said Two and a Half Men’s Jon Cryer. “If we don’t get a piece of that, we’re doomed.”
Added Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander: “This is not about some big star’s salary. It’s about big company profits. It’s high time writers shared in a percentage of the profits.”
Also on hand to support the scribes were castmembers of Grey’s Anatomy, including Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight, and stars of Desperate Housewives, Big Love, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Numb3rs, The Big Bang Theory, Dexter and Mad Men. Others, including Sopranos star and writer Michael Imperioli, marched in front of Wall Street.
Meanwhile, the stoppage appears to be taking a toll on NBC. The Peacock became the first network to withdraw from January’s Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, which showcases midseason series. Others are expected to follow.
“One of the world’s most-used pirate film websites has been closed after providing links to illegal versions of major Hollywood hits and TV shows. The first closure of a major UK-based pirate site was also accompanied by raids and an arrest, the anti-piracy group Federation Against Copyright Theft (Fact) said today.
A 26-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on Thursday in connection with offences relating to the facilitation of copyright infringement on the internet, Fact said.”

Wow, all I can say is, the internet is doomed, everything is now officially illegal online. Only anarchy and chaos can follow. The MPAA will rule the world, FOX and Viacom will co-rule and Dane Cook might actually make a funny movie. WHATS THIS WORLD COMING TOO!!!!
A couple things to let you all know.
1) The blog is back up, but I am mentioning it here, because there are only 2 things to tell you, and I wanted to make a list
2) <— the actual news | If you haven’t noticed, I gave Family Guy X away, and sold the domain so I have no control over the site anymore. It was time for me to move on, and I have a bunch of other things I must attend to in the mean time. So please no one cry, don’t be sad, I already cried enough for everyone
Anyhow, new things will be coming along, and I’m going to try to keep this blog updated, but the thing is I HATE WRITING… so I’ll try my best to update it every couple days. I’ll probably be writing about my life and all that other crap that you sickos might want to read. Trust me you don’t want to get into my brain, I might have to put a disclaimer on the front page ![]()
Besides moving the websites to numerous servers in the last week, I just packed up all my stuff and moved myself off to a new city this weekend. I graduated college in June and felt like it was time to see something new.
Nothing else much to say
but I haven’t updated the blog lately, so what the hell!
Also if you haven’t noticed the FGX news, I have just got a dedicated server for all of the websites, its a spendy mofo, but it was necessary to keep all the websites up and running smoothly (which they weren’t for a while with all those crazy cpu errors)
Anyhow, keep enjoying the sites to keep them alive, which relies on the continued fan base, and hopefully FGX, ADX, and RCX can remain up for a long time to come!
So were testing a new website at LinkReel.Com. It will incorporate user and admin managed links to any and every tv show or movie available! No need to sign up or register for anything, and everything is free!
We do ask that you help us in the *beta stages, and let us know bugs that you see or improvements that may be needed.
-A little info about the new site-
*This is NOT the link “wiki” site I mentioned in an earlier post, that will be released soon!
LinkReel is a user generated link database to all of your favorite videos online. The cool thing about this site is that there is no need to register and everything is free. The way that LinkReel will keep updated is because every link that is added must be VOTED IN to the main database by our users!
All we ask that every user simply vote the newly added links as valid or invalid right on the front page!
Hopefully everyone will enjoy the latest website brought to you by FamilyGuyX and AmericanDadX.
This ones a cool one we have been working on non stop for the last month. It is basically a “wiki based” link sharing website. It will incorporate the same type of ideas as tv-links.co.uk, alluc.org, quicksilverscreen, etc… BUT will be completely user added, user moderated, and under the users full control. Not only will you be able to search and share links to videos, movies, and media, you can share games, images, files, or anything that is a link! Think of Wikipedia but with sharing links to everything. I’m hoping this site will appeal to all the users of FamilyGuyX and AmericanDadX. Maybe some of you leechers will finally decide to give back! The best part is that everything will be organized in Directories, Sub-Directories, Items, and Links. Each TV show can have its own page, along with season and episodes which can also be edited with episode images, descriptions and any information a user wants to add. If you want to add a new directory called “Flash Games” you can!
I’m hoping this will be the biggest and most organized database of every type of links there are. Its going to be a rough start, but were going to release in *beta stage soon, and hopefully everyone can lend a hand and post in the forums for bugs, praise, or even if you just hate the site in general
We try to build our sites on the standpoint that every user will get enjoyment and use out of it. Not every site can be perfect and have everything, but we sure as hell can try!
Were shooting for a release date sometime within the next week. WE STILL NEED A GOOD/CREATIVE DOMAIN NAME! IF ANYONE HAS AN IDEA FEEL FREE TO POST IT!
A few domains were thinking about are LINKLES.NET, ALOTTALINKS.NET, LOTSALINKS.NET, LINKASAURUS.NET Anything you can add, feel free!
We just released a new project, you can find it at MyQuoteWall. Its basically a personal database of your own quotes, you can share with friends, setup group quote walls, and browse others quotes. You can setup as many of your own walls as you want (you can make a favorite wall, a funny wall, etc…) You can also add other peoples quotes to your own walls.
Then you can add your walls to your websites, blogs, myspace, facebook, and more! Check it out, and feel free to give me any feedback. You can see it in action on the FamilyGuyX Myspace page. I know its something different, but I hope someone will get enjoyment out of it!
